Summary

"The Collected Works in Verse and Prose of William Butler Yeats, Vol. 7 (of 8)" by W. B. (William Butler) Yeats is a compilation of diverse writings that navigate the realms of Irish heritage, the ghostly unknown, and inner battles. Early 20th-century poems and stories express Yeats's fascination with Irish legends and the complicated nature of being human. "The Secret Rose" begins the collection, focusing on the soul's spiritual path by suggesting that beauty and pain are intertwined. A dedication sets the stage for tales connected by their look into spiritual disagreements. Finally, readers discover "The Crucifixion of the Outcast", presenting the story of Cumhal, a wandering minstrel, leading to a moving reflection on life, emphasizing themes of isolation and the harsh treatment of those who do not fit in, hinting at the strong feelings and philosophical ideas that are typical of Yeats's work.
