Summary

"Toffee Haunts a Ghost" by Henry Farrell is a funny story set somewhere in time when people got into all kinds of mix-ups. It's about Marc Pillsworth, whose day goes from bad to crazy when his dream-girl, Toffee, becomes real, and he meets a ghost called George following a series of peculiar events. The story is about dealing with the wildness, mixing made-up stuff with a lot of funny moments. It starts when Marc barely avoids getting crushed by a falling safe and has other strange accidents, all while trying to figure out who Toffee is. As the day goes on, things get even weirder. He has confusing talks with people, accidentally finds a see-through spook, and deals with Toffee's strange behavior as he struggles with things that are not how they should be. This creates many humorous situations that shows us how one man tries to handle the surprises of life and his own imagination.
