"You can't scare me!" by Charles F. Myers is a funny and strange short story set in the mid-20th century that follows Marc Pillsworth, an advertising guy pulled into crazy adventures involving his mind and a character named Toffee. The story talks about jealousy and the weird parts of life using over-the-top characters and situations. It kicks off with Marc putting up with his jealous wife and annoying secretary. After a strange scene with a car and a hole, Marc ends up in his subconscious, meeting Toffee, a character who makes his life harder and easier at the same time. Their adventures cause funny problems as Marc tries to get back a stolen briefcase, deal with jealousy, and get around a strange world with interesting people.
