Summary

"Justice" by John Galsworthy is a play that digs into the complex relationship between right and wrong, the legal system, and how society treats people. The story centers on William Falder, a young office worker who gets caught up in crime when he changes a check. The play kicks off by introducing us to James and Walter How, who are lawyers, and other people connected to the courts and prisons. Early on, we see Falder is having a hard time, stuck between doing what's right and his own problems, especially his connection with a woman named Ruth Honeywill, who is trying to leave a bad marriage. Because of everything he's going through, Falder breaks the law, hoping it will help him and Ruth get away and start over. The play then asks tough questions shows how the idea of "justice" can really affect someone's life.
