Summary

"Six Short Plays" by John Galsworthy is a selection of plays from the early 1900s that looks closely at what it means to be human in different types of relationships and within society. The plays have strong emotions and conversations that make you think, showing how well Galsworthy understood people. In the initial moments of the first play, the two brothers, Keith and Larry Darrant, face a difficult situation when Larry tells Keith that he has killed a man protecting a woman named Wanda. The bond between the brothers is tested by loyalty, love, and the results of choices made.

About the Author

John Galsworthy was an English novelist and playwright. He is best known for his trilogy of novels collectively called The Forsyte Saga, and two later trilogies, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter. He was awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in Literature.
