Summary

"Twice Killed: A Farce in One Act" by John Oxenford is a funny play from the 1800s that makes fun of love and mistaken identities. The story is all about how being sneaky and pretending to be someone else can cause a lot of trouble when people are trying to find love. Mr. Ralph Reckless is trying to win the heart of Julia Flighty, but he's using a fake name to hide from his guardian, while his servant, Tom, plans to impress Fanny Pepper with a gift basket. The play gets wild when Reckless ends up hiding in the basket meant for Fanny, creating a mess of misunderstandings. In the end, everything is revealed, and all the silliness leads to a funny and surprising conclusion.
