Summary

"The Motor Boys in Strange Waters; or, Lost in a Floating Forest" by Clarence Young is an early 20th-century adventure where best friends Jerry Hopkins, Ned Slade, and Bob Baker, known as the "Motor Boys," eagerly anticipate their summer vacation. Fuelled by the end of the school year and a desire for excitement, they embark on a motorboat expedition to Florida in their boat, the Dartaway. Their journey is further complicated by a rivalry with the boastful Noddy Nixon, who claims ownership of a cocoanut plantation in Florida, and an unexpected companion, Professor Snodgrass, who joins their travels, setting the stage for a journey filled with mystery and unforeseen challenges.
