"Team-Mates" by Ralph Henry Barbour is a coming-of-age story set in the early 1900s, that follows John William Boland's experiences as a new student at Oak Park School, where he faces the hurdles of boarding school. From the moment John steps off the train, anxieties and aspirations swirl within him as he heads to his new school. Along the way, he encounters some kids that bother him about the way he looks, as he heads to campus.. Introduced to his roommate, Ned Brent, John begins to find his footing, learning what's expected and making friends, as the story explores themes of belonging, self-discovery, and the importance of friendship as John carves out his place in this unfamiliar world.
