Summary

"The Everlasting Arms" by Joseph Hocking is a story centered on Dick Faversham’s unexpected path of spiritual awakening and self-discovery after inheriting a fortune, around the early 1900's. Faversham starts his journey on a steamship to Australia, where a discussion about supernatural occurrences, including the "Angels at Mons," sparks his curiosity. When he receives news of his uncle's death and his substantial inheritance, he returns to England, but not before a mysterious woman on the ship piques his interest. His inheritance sets him on a course filled with timely and thought-provoking encounters whilst weighing the supernatural and his destiny, all compounded by the anticipation of conflicts involving the ominous Count Romanoff.
