Summary

"The Jesus of History" by T. R. (Terrot Reaveley) Glover is a historical exploration that examines the life of Jesus of Nazareth through a historical lens. The volume looks at his teachings and the impact on history rather than religious viewpoints. It starts with a foreword that praises Glover's fresh ideas on religious stories and that the work came from lectures in India. It wants to encourage interest in the study of Jesus. Glover talks about modern ways of studying religious figures, advising verification of facts. He discusses looking at the Gospels as historical documents as he investigates Jesus' teachings and impact on Christianity. The beginning establishes a foundation for a thoughtful exploration of a complex historical narrative.
