Summary

"Turquoise and Ruby" by L. T. Meade is a story occurring in an all-girls school that follows Honora Beverley, a student who stirs things up when she rejects a leading role in their school play because she doesn't agree with the character's morals. The book deals with big ideas like doing what's right, even when others don't agree, and growing up while dealing with friend drama in a strict school setting; because Honora declined the prestigious role of Helen of Troy, her classmates are upset and must find a replacement to perform in the play. The other girls see this as a chance to move up in social standing in the school.
