Summary

"The Love-Tiff" by Molière is a funny play from the 1600s that's all about love and confusion. The story follows Éraste, who's head-over-heels for Lucile but super unsure if she likes him back, especially with Valère hanging around. He talks about his worries with his servant, adding to the drama. Then, more people like Marinette and Mascarille jump into the mix, making everything even more mixed up and funny. The play is full of silly mistakes, secrets, and rivals, all leading to a big romantic mess that keeps you laughing.

About the Author

Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known by his stage name Molière, was a French playwright, actor, and poet, widely regarded as one of the great writers in the French language and world literature. His extant works include comedies, farces, tragicomedies, comédie-ballets, and more. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed at the Comédie-Française more often than those of any other playwright today. His influence is such that the French language is often referred to as the "language of Molière".
