Summary

"The Busie Body" by Susanna Centlivre is a funny play from the 1700s, which is all about secrets and people pretending to be someone else. The story follows people like Sir Francis Gripe, who gets jealous easily, and Miranda, a smart girl who is set to inherit money. It's a funny story that shows how silly love can be and how strange people's social lives were back then. In the beginning, Sir George and Charles are talking about love and money in a park. Sir George tells Charles that he likes Miranda, and Charles says that he won't get his inheritance yet. Marplot showed up, and loves to cause trouble. Throughout the play, the funny conversations and romantic problems lead to many comical misunderstandings.
