"Mam'selle Jo" by Harriet T. Comstock is a story about a woman named Jo Morey, who, after years of hard work and facing obstacles from her family's history, finally achieves freedom. One day, Jo meets a young girl named Donelle and decides to take her in, which starts a journey of finding out who they are and finding connection. The story is about being tough, wanting friendship, and looking for yourself when things are hard.
