Summary

"Pat the Lighthouse Boy" by Evelyn Everett-Green is a heartwarming story about a young boy named Pat, whose family moves to the remote Lone Rock Lighthouse, to help regain his health after a long difficult illness. Surrounded by the endless sea, Pat's curiosity leads him to new adventures as he explores the lighthouse, learns its secrets, and forms an unexpected friendship with Jim, the quiet lighthouse keeper's assistant. As Pat slowly recovers, he finds joy in the simple wonders of the lighthouse, from the powerful lamp that ships depend on, to the vastness of the ocean, and despite Jim being difficult at first, Pat's kindness begins to change Jim's life.
