Summary

"Delilah of the Snows" by Harold Bindloss is a story set in a time when who you were born to mattered a lot. It centers on Walter Ingleby, a regular guy trying to find his way in a world that's all about class. He's got big dreams and feelings for Grace Coulthurst, who's from a wealthier family. The book kicks off with Walter feeling out of place at a fancy tennis game, but then he meets Grace, and you can see how much he likes her even though they're from different worlds. It's a mix of wanting more, feeling awkward, and figuring out where you belong when society's telling you who you should be.

About the Author

Harold Edward Bindloss was an English novelist who wrote many adventure novels set in western Canada, and some in West Africa and England. His writing was strongly based on his own experience, whether as a seaman, a dock worker, a farmer or a planter.
