"The Old Helmet, Volume I", by Susan Warner, is a book set long ago, about a lively young woman named Eleanor Powle. When a storm suddenly rolls in, Eleanor starts to really wrestle with what she thinks and feels, as a result of the setting and her friends. The beginning of the book shows Eleanor's relationships and introduces tough questions about morals that she has to figure out later.
