"Melbourne House, Volume 2" by Susan Warner is a story from long ago about a young girl named Daisy finding her place in the world. Daisy is trying figure out her feelings as she transitions from the calm cottage where Juanita took care of her, back to the busy Melbourne House where she lives. When Daisy first gets back, she's happy to see her family and friends, but she can't forget Juanita. People are happy to have Daisy home, but they don't really understand how much she loved her time at the cottage. As Daisy talks to people like Dr. Sandford, you can see she's a thoughtful person. The story is about figuring out where you belong, dealing with change, and how even little kids can have big feelings.
