The comet-drivers

"The Comet-Drivers" by Edmond Hamilton is a science fiction tale about a group of space patrol officers trying to save the galaxy from a massive comet on a collision course. Facing complete destruction, Khel Ken unites with Gor Han, an alien giant; Jurt Tul, an amphibious being; and Najus Nar, an insect-like warrior, to intercept the comet. The crew embarks on a dangerous mission encountering cube-shaped ships piloted by strange liquid creatures, and as they race against time, they discover the liquid being’s chilling motivation: to destroy galaxies to keep their own universe alive. In an epic battle, facing impossible odds, the team works together to crack the comet's core and fights for the survival of their world against a universe-ending threat.
