Summary

"Crashing Suns" by Edmond Hamilton is a science fiction tale where humanity's very survival hangs in the balance. Captain Jan Tor of the Interplanetary Patrol Cruiser is thrust into action when two suns hurtle towards a cataclysmic meeting. Amidst his journey, Jan's mission begins with urgent orders from the Supreme Council, summoning him back to Earth as a rogue star threatens to extinguish life as they know it. Piloting through the cosmos with engineer Hal Kur and other brave officers, Jan uncovers a chilling plot by the globe-men from Alto. These aliens, fleeing their doomed planet, are revealed to be the architects of their solar system's impending destruction. Facing impossible odds, Jan must rally his crew, construct a fleet of cruisers, and wage war across the stars to thwart the Altoians and prevent cosmic annihilation.
