Summary

"The Last Miracle" by M. P. Shiel is a story that orbits around Dr. A. Lister Browne's strange experiences. The novel begins with letters between Dr. Browne and a friend, in which he explains his encounters with Miss Mary Wilson. Miss Wilson is a lady with rare talents, such as in her trances, which give her amazing psychic powers. She can access knowledge from the past and the future like she's lived it, and this makes Dr. Browne believe that her skills have a deeper significance. The characters of the Langler family and a missing servant named Robinson add layers to the story and may connect this incredible woman to some bigger events.
