"So Many Worlds Away..." by Dwight V. Swain is a science fiction tale where a man named Doctor Raymond Horning wants to get away from his awful marriage with Myrtle, so he uses science to travel to a different dimension. In this other world, he meets an alternate version of himself who offers him a chance to trade lives and be done with Myrtle forever. As the story goes on, Horning discovers that switching places has problems he didn't expect. The story looks at what makes people who they are, the quest for happiness, and what happens when you try to run from your issues. The story ends with Horning dealing with what he's done and thinking about what love and freedom really mean.
