Summary

"The Hate Disease" by Murray Leinster is a science fiction story where Calhoun, a medic on the spaceship "Esclipus Twenty", journeys to Tallien Three for a routine check-up, only to find a planet overwhelmed by a strange sickness turning people into aggressive "paras". With his furry pal, Murgatroyd, Calhoun has to move carefully through a world where everything has fallen apart. When they arrive at Tallien Three, they get mixed up with an emergency, showing the seriousness of the issues they are about to face. As things get tenser, Calhoun realizes that the paras are a big threat, not just crazy individuals. This book is a scary adventure about craziness, being afraid, and trying to survive on a planet where a dark change is happening, with the potential to spread even further.
