The Frightened Planet

"The Frightened Planet" by Sidney Austen is a science fiction story that throws a Cro-Magnon man named Karn into a wild adventure on an alien world. After being kicked out of his own tribe, Karn stumbles upon the planet Mahlo, where he meets a group of super-smart aliens who are total pushovers. The Mahloans are in danger because of the Green Ones, nasty reptile creatures that want to take over. But Karn is a tough guy, and he decides to help the Mahloans stand up for themselves, especially the brave Andra. He teaches them to fight back, and together, they challenge what it means to be strong, brave, and even what men and women are capable of, leading to a big showdown where they fight for their freedom.
