Summary

"Rustlers Beware!" by Arthur Chapman is a captivating western tale set in the American frontier. A young Texan named Milton Bertram, seeking excitement, becomes part of a rugged group of cowpunchers led by the questionable Asa Swingley. As Bertram is about to start his trip, he finds Alma Caldwell, who warns him about the dangerous men he is about to adventure with. The book looks at themes of loyalty and morality. Bertram and his companions come face-to-face with tense and violent situations, mainly a brutal fight at a cabin. Haunted by the violence, Bertram starts to doubt his path which makes him forge his own destiny.

About the Author

Arthur Chapman was an early twentieth-century American poet, newspaper columnist and author. He wrote a subgenre of American poetry known as cowboy poetry. His most famous poem was Out Where the West Begins.
