Summary

"Titan: A Romance. v. 2 (of 2)" by Jean Paul is a novel from the 1800s that dives into the lives of people struggling with love, what they have to do because of their place in society, and what everyone expects from them; it follows Albano and Liana as they deal with drama in their relationships while big political and personal changes happen all around them. Volume two begins with big parties everywhere, which makes Albano feel even worse as he tries to untangle his complicated relationships and responsibilities. As he gets ready for a royal wedding, he is angry and sad because he thinks the happiness is fake. The story starts with Albano watching the celebrations with some friends, but he's really worried about the political problems in the background and how he feels about Liana, who is stuck between what her family wants and what she wants. The beautiful way the book is written really shows how much the characters are struggling, suggesting bigger questions about what people want, what they have to do, and what society tells them they should do.
