Summary

"A Journey into the Interior of the Earth" by Jules Verne is a science fiction story from the late 1800s that presents the thrilling exploits of Professor Otto Liedenbrock and his nephew Axel as they pursue an unbelievable idea. Driven by the discovery of an old manuscript hinting at a path to Earth's center, this dynamic duo prepares for a dangerous expedition, mixing scientific exploration with high-stakes adventure. The story begins by setting the stage with the introduction of the characters and highlighting the eager, excited, and sometimes tense relationship between the characters and their views of science. While his uncle dives into the mystery with unmatched zeal, Axel wrestles with worry, finding himself swept up in a whirlwind of planning and preparation as they begin their trek toward Iceland, the gateway to their subterranean quest.

About the Author

Jules Gabriel Verne was a French novelist, poet, and playwright.
