Summary

"The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault" by Charles Perrault is an assembly of timeless fairy tales from the 1600s. Stories like "Little Red Riding Hood," "Cinderella," and "Blue Beard" demonstrate moral lessons inside appealing stories. One story follows a girl going through the woods to visit her grandmother but runs into a wolf along the way. The themes show changes, interest, and the hardships of love. Another story illustrates two sisters; one is kind and is gifted that jewels and flowers fall from her mouth when she speaks, and the other sister is cursed to say snakes and toads. Virtue is explored in several different stories that offer a moralistic storytelling experience.
