Summary

"Last Call" by Bryce Walton is a science fiction story set in a dark future where people mysteriously feel driven to go to Mars. A soldier named Bronson, who works for the controlling government, hears this "CALL" and questions his life under their rule. He steals a rocket headed for Venus and changes course to Mars to find out the reasons for this. During the journey, dealing with the death of one of his crew and confronting his Captain, he learns of the real motives behind the CALL. Once there, he finds out that the call to Mars was once a dangerous experiment that caused a huge war. Now, realizing the power of this knowledge, Bronson decides to fight the lies of the government, hoping to free everyone from the controlling regime and keep alive the dream that led the initiators to Mars.
