Summary

"Wintering Bees in Cellars" by Everett Franklin Phillips and Geo. S. Demuth is a manual from the early 1900s, offering beekeepers advice on keeping their bee colonies alive through the winter by sheltering them in cellars. It goes over the conditions, like temperature and airflow, that cellars must have for bees to survive the cold months. Beekeepers will learn the best ways to handle their bees, including knowing when and how to move bee colonies to the cellar, how giving them the right food keeps them healthy, and how to protect them from harsh weather. And suggests ways to check if the bee wintering setup is working for the health of the bees.
