Summary

"The Alien Dies at Dawn" by Alexander Blade is an exciting mid-20th-century science fiction story where Kendall Stone is on a mission to stop the execution of Galth, an alien from Rastol. If Galth dies, so does a human colony on Rastol III. The story looks at themes of fairness, prejudice, and what happens when different civilizations don't understand each other. Stone arrives at Mojave Spaceport and finds out Galth is going to be executed for a murder he didn't do. As Stone tries to navigate the complicated system, he uncovers a plan by Earth officials to get rid of Galth so they can control the medicine business. Stone is motivated to save Galth and his family, which leads him into perilous situations, including a daring escape and a high-speed chase in the sky. In the end, he gets the truth to the governor just in the nick of time, saving Galth's life and the colony, showing how important it is to understand different cultures and how valuable every life is, no matter where it comes from.
