The isle of dead ships

"The Isle of Dead Ships" by Crittenden Marriott is an early 20th-century adventure where a ghastly floating island constructed of shipwrecks sets the stage for a tale of mystery, danger and survival. The narrative follows Frank Howard, a convict with a murky past, and Dorothy Fairfax, a young woman whose fate becomes entangled with Howard's, as they navigate the high seas, and ultimately, the ominous threat of the mysterious isle. As the ship succumbs to a violent storm and crashes into the island of wrecked ships, Howard, Dorothy, and Officer Jackson suddenly face a situation together that tests their courage, forces them to trust one another, and face the eerie weight of past decisions.
