Summary

"WILD YOUTH" by Gilbert Parker is a story set in Askatoon, where the arrival of the Mazarines shakes up the town. Louise Mazarine is stuck in a bad marriage with her much older husband, and the story looks at themes of youth and freedom against a harsh society. When the Mazarines come to town, people notice them right away, especially the Young Doctor, who sees Louise and her tough situation. Their initial interactions hint at a possible connection and set the stage for a tale packed with suspense and complicated emotions.
