Summary

"Exploiter's End" by James Causey is a science fiction story happening way off on another planet in the 1950s. It's about humans and aliens called Terms living together, but not really getting along. The book looks closely at being yourself, using others, and how different cultures fight. Jake, who checks costs at a factory that's not on Earth, starts thinking about whether it's right to use the Terms for work. He meets Harvey, a new guy who doesn't like what the company does, and Don Carmody, who's secretly making trouble. Things get intense when the Guild, a group that wants to free the Terms, sneaks into the factory with a mind-control thing that affects the workers and causes a big fight about who people are versus what they do as a group. Jake has to face the outside dangers, but also what he thinks about being free and moving forward. It ends in a tough way, with ideas about what's right clashing, leaving you wondering about freedom and control when civilization keeps pushing on.
