Summary

"Wild Kitty" by L. T. Meade is a story about a group of schoolgirls and the dramatic change they experience with the arrival of the spirited Kitty Malone. Bessie Challoner, a somewhat disorganized but kind girl, faces the everyday pressures of school and friendships alongside her anxious friend, Alice, all while navigating the social scene dominated by girls like the wealthy Gwin Harley. The book explores themes of youth, identity, and social class, most notably when Kitty, a lively girl from Ireland, joins the school. Her bold personality and unconventional behavior immediately challenge the established order, creating tension and testing the bonds of friendship as the girls grapple with conformity and individuality.
