Grier is a tale set against the tense backdrop of Balkan politics, weaving together courtly customs, the echoing effects of bygone days, and the intertwined lives of royalty, primarily Lord Cyril and Queen Nadia. Loyalty and political gamesmanship are at the heart of the narrative as characters balance their duties and personal desires. The story begins with Lord Cyril's arrival, where castle staff discussions reveal snippets of noble lineage and the historical weight the characters carry. News of King Otto Georg's failing health throws Cyril into a whirlwind that takes him back to Thracia.
