"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë is a story from the 1800s about the tangled lives of people living at Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, especially Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw. The book looks at big ideas like love, getting even with people, and how the things we do can come back to haunt us, all happening in the lonely lands of Yorkshire. The book starts with Mr. Lockwood, a new renter at Thrushcross Grange, going to Wuthering Heights to see his mysterious landlord, Mr. Heathcliff. Their meeting is strange, showing a place full of anger and suspicion. We learn about Heathcliff’s difficult past: he was an orphan the Earnshaw family took in. Lockwood gets curious about the relationships between everyone and finds himself caught up in their troubled lives, mainly Heathcliff's and Catherine's.
