"The Wizard's Cave" by Eglanton Thorne is an early twentieth century children's novel about two brothers. Duke and Noel Bryden, experience an exciting and perilous adventure, full of exploring and danger in Cornwall. The book shows the good times and scares of being a kid, along with being brave, family relationships, and a need for adventure. The story starts when the boys arrive to stay at Egloshayle House with their mother for the holidays. The setting is a great reason for them to explore, especially a cave, where they find a treasure connected to a local story. But their excitement get a little worrisome when they face some bad people who want the treasure too. At the end, the boys must be brave and always depend on each other so that they can be safe. This tale is centered on having courage, the strength of brothers, and choosing to keep safe a secret worth keeping.
