Summary

"The Madman and the Pirate" by R. M. Ballantyne is a story that drops you into the South Seas, where adventure meets tough questions about what people believe and how they treat each other; it kicks off on a peaceful island, but things get wild fast when a ship shows up, bringing trouble in its wake. You've got Antonio Zeppa, a kind missionary trying to help people, and Captain Daniel, who seems like he's going to cause some problems, and Antonio's son, Orlando. The real shake-up happens when the crew of the ship decides they've had enough and start a mutiny, turning everything upside down, and both Antonio and Orlando are thrown into terrible situations, with their survival hanging in the balance.
