Summary

"The Noble Lord: A Comedy in One Act" by Percival Wilde is a funny play set in the woods by a summer hotel, where a young woman's life is saved from a watery end by an Englishman, but mistaken identity leads to hilarious flirtation when she confuses him for her own parent; as their connection deepens amidst the confusion, the revelation that he's actually a valet, not the noble lord she believes him to be, adds a layer of class conflict and unexpected romance to their encounter, and with the arrival of another character, the audience is left to imagine even more comedic chaos to come.
