Summary

"Firth's World" by Irving E. Cox, Jr. is a science fiction story that shows what happens when one man's perfect world falls apart. John Firth dreams of a world for the rich and smart, far away from Earth's problems where successful people don't have to support the poor. He finds a planetoid and gathers colonists but their new life quickly becomes a disappointment as things get stagnant and unjust. The workers revolt because they don't like how they're being treated. In the end, Firth's dream teaches them some tough lessons about working together and that trying to escape from society's problems isn't the answer.
