Summary

"The Wonderful Visit" by H. G. Wells is a story from the end of the 1800's about a vicar and an angel who comes to Earth. It starts with a weird glare in the sky and then an angel with colorful wings appears. The vicar accidentally shoots the angel, and then he discovers that the angel is now stuck in the real world. As the vicar nurses the angel, the story looks at how people deal with something supernatural suddenly entering their normal lives. The angel has to learn about things like pain and rules, while the vicar starts to think deeply about believing in a world where magic and reality meet.
