A New History of Blue Beard For the Amusement of Little Lack Beard, and His Pretty Sisters

"A New History of Blue Beard" by Gaffer Black Beard is a grim fairy tale set in the 1800s, dealing with a rich, mean nobleman known as Blue Beard and his history of dead wives. The story is about being too curious and the chase for forbidden knowledge, all hitting a high point when love fights against unfair rule. We follow Fatima, who is supposed to marry Selim but is forced to marry Blue Beard; as his wife, Fatima gets keys to everywhere in the castle except for one room that she is not allowed to enter. Despite being warned, she can't stop herself from opening the forbidden room, where she finds the scary truth about what happened to Blue Beard's other wives. Blue Beard gets mad when he finds out she disobeyed him and threatens to kill her, but thankfully, Selim arrives in time to save her. In the end, Blue Beard is defeated, and Fatima and Selim come together, showing how important it is to be strong and how good always wins against evil.
