Vanderdecken

"Vanderdecken" by H. De Vere Stacpoole focuses on George du Cane, a soon-to-be rich orphan, and the eccentric Hank Fisher, who become obsessed with capturing the infamous yacht raider Vanderdecken. The story starts in the Bohemian Club where they learn about Vanderdecken's crimes and where Hank reveals his personal mission to nab the pirate and claim the reward for his capture. As Prohibition casts a shadow over social life, George and Hank decide to chase after Vanderdecken, acquiring an old yacht called the "Wear Jack" and setting sail, facing a series of challenges and comedic situations as they seek to bring the elusive criminal to justice.
