Summary

"The Two Magics: The Turn of the Screw, Covering End" by Henry James is a story from the late 1800s about goodness versus evil, all told in a spooky way. It's about a governess who gets a job caring for two children at a far-off estate, but she soon realizes that creepy ghosts might hurt the children. The story begins with friends sitting by a fire, sharing scary stories, when one of them mentions an especially spooky story involving children and a nasty haunting. This makes everyone want to hear more, and that's when Douglas says he will share the tale of a governess who confronted a frightening experience at a place called Bly. The way the story begins fills you with suspense and hints at how scary and unsettling the governess’s time with the children will become.
