Summary

"Nuala O'Malley" by H. Bedford-Jones is a historical fiction story set during the conflicts in Ireland when Cromwell's army was fighting. It tells the story of Nuala and Brian Buidh, who is from an important family. Brian is trying to figure out who he is and who he should be loyal to while everything around him is falling apart. After Drogheda falls, Brian has a tough experience and meets a strange old woman who tells him what will happen to him. Brian decides to make a new life in the west for himself and his family's future. He finds interesting friends like Turlough Wolf and strong leaders like Cathbarr, and starts to become a leader himself and sets the scene for when he meets Nuala O'Malley, It's a story about adventure, battles, finding love, and fighting for power in Ireland's past.
