Summary

"Long Will" by Florence Converse is a historical story set in the 1300s, during hard times with sickness and big changes in society. It follows Will Langland, who is a poet and also a priest. Will wants to help regular people and find what's true in a world full of problems. The book starts with Will dreaming on hills, thinking about poems. A boy from Prince Lionel's court talks to him and sees he is a poet. Will hopes to change the world with his words, even though life is tough for many. They talk about finding truth and making a difference, pointing to big fights about fairness that happen as the story goes on. It's a journey filled with love, fights between different groups of people, and big changes happening in the world.

Florence Converse was an American author. Throughout her career, she wrote a variety of pieces spanning many genres, including historical novels, mysteries, religious plays, and poetry. Converse had a Boston marriage with Vida Dutton Scudder.
