Summary

"The Stowmarket Mystery; Or, A Legacy of Hate" by Louis Tracy is a thrilling mystery centered on the baffling death of Sir Alan Hume-Frazer, which casts suspicion on his cousin, David Hume-Frazer. Desperate to prove his innocence, David turns to Reginald Brett, a skilled barrister and detective famous for solving intricate cases. The story begins with David seeking Brett's help after being found not guilty in court for his cousin's murder, a crime thought to be part of an odd family history. Their first meeting shows the family drama, resentment, and a strong feeling of being backstabbed that influence the situation. As Brett begins his investigation, readers are drawn into a world of family secrets and unusual events, making it hard to tell the truth.
