Summary

"The Enchanted Castle" by E. Nesbit is a story about three siblings, Gerald, Jimmy, and Kathleen, who find themselves in a world of magic and mystery. The story begins with the children longing for fun holidays and discovering a strange castle that seems to be magical. The book starts with the three main characters at school, excited for their break. They are first sad about having to stay at their governess's house because their cousin is sick, but they decide to spend time together at Kathleen's school. As they start looking around, they find a secret cave that takes them to a beautiful garden and a sleeping princess and wake her up, which leads to many magical things happening that make it hard to tell what is real and what is not, showing a world full of fun and enchantment.
