What Rough Beast?

"What Rough Beast?" by Jefferson Highe is a science fiction story set in a future where schools are collapsing and young people are causing chaos, where a teacher named John Ward struggles to make sense of it all. The book looks at what happens when education goes wrong, society starts to fall apart, and the possibility of an invasion by super-smart alien kids arises. Ward starts to believe that beings from outer space, called Outspacers, are watching Earth and have put gifted children here. The story follows Ward as he tries to figure out what's going on. As he learns more, he discovers surprising and funny truths about these supposed invaders, which lead him to question the future of people and teaching.
